A new client is frustrated. Their important emails to customers are being marked as spam, costing them business. They've tried random fixes but can't solve it.
Our 90-Minute Rescue Plan:
- Minutes 0-15 (Diagnose): We log in together and use an external tool (like MXToolbox) to check their domain's records. We immediately find they have a missing SPF record and no DKIM signature.
- Minutes 15-45 (The Fix): I guide them step-by-step through their domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare) to create the correct SPF text record. Then, we go into the Google Workspace Admin Console, generate a new DKIM key, and add that record to their registrar as well.
- Minutes 45-75 (Verification & Best Practice): We verify the records have propagated. We also add a basic DMARC policy to protect them from spoofing and tell receiving servers what to do with unauthenticated mail.
- Minutes 75-90 (Recap & Q&A): We confirm the issue is resolved and provide a summary of what we did, why we did it, and what to monitor. They receive a full recording of the session.
Result: In 90 minutes, the client's domain reputation is secured, and their emails start hitting the inbox again.
